Case Study
Huddersfield University required an electrical installation inspection to ensure students and staff were not put at risk, and to satisfy their insurance requirements.
The university campus consists of 30 buildings all of which needed testing with minimum disruption. With the campus supporting 17500 students on a round the clock basis this offered little opportunity to carry out the necessary testing and undertake items of urgent remedial work during term time.

Our Solution
Reginald Maude Ltd provided nine skilled test engineers for a period of eight weeks during the summer recess to ensure that the inspections were carried out within the timescales offered and in budget. The University were provided with fully bound test documentation, which meant that for the first time they had an accurate set of up to date ‘as fitted’ drawings for their records.
Our Test and Inspection section has also undertaken work in other Educational Establishement such as Leeds University as wells as many local schools within Halifax.
