Huddersfield University has awarded RMLtd another project.....
As a result of constantly changing requirements, Huddersfield University recently awarded RMLtd a project, which involved the addition of essential cabling backbones. This resulted in the installation of 2.5 kilometres of fibre and over 5 kilometres of 100 pair external CW1308 voice cable.
The installation involved extensive new ductwork as well as new cabling to support the CCTV and Fire Alarm Systems. Some of the cable routes were rather innovative as can be seen, but besides being unusual worked very well.
The project had specific timescales with tight constraints ensuring that no disruption to services occured. Even though the inclement weather tried to disrupt work, everything was completed successfully.
