About Reginald Maude Ltd

Environmental Statement
As a company that operates within a service industry, our impact on the environment is low. However, we have identified various ways of improving our environmental impact. The following are examples of actions already undertaken:
- Old computers are passed to Extended Life Computers at the Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre for refurbishment or recycling.
- Waste paper is shredded and regularly delivered to Heath Recycling
- All cardboard boxes are recycled by reusing them for site deliveries
- We recycle our printer cartridges to save solid waste space on landfill sites
- Our everyday waste is disposed of by Calderdale Council
- Other waste is disposed of by licensed operators such as Halifax Trailer Waste
- Old fluorescent tubes are disposed of by arrangement with one of our suppliers
- Old work boots are recycled through Oxfam
Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. This makes 'producers' of electrical and electronic equipment responsible for the waste that arises from it. The directive was implemented in the UK by The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006, which came into force in January 2007. Producers have to offer collection of or take-back schemes for WEEE.
Whilst we are not 'producers' in terms of the legislation, we undertake to comply with any requirements of the WEEE Regulations that apply to us and to keep ourselves informed of developments in the WEEE regulations.
